Boy moms want to know, "Are senior pictures for guys also?" YES they are!
Over the past year, I have had a lot of interest in senior guy portrait sessions. When my friend reached out about doing Devon's senior portraits, I was excited. Devon's session was my first opportunity to photograph a guy's session, I definitely don’t do nearly as many or any senior guys as girls, but I have definitely found a new love for photographing guys. I am a mother of four girls, so I have no idea what’s it like to be around boys yet alone how to pose them. I have to admit, in the beginning, I was intimidated. Of course, the experience is a little different from my senior girl portraits, but I realized that just like mothers want their daughters to have this experience, that mothers that have sons also want their sons to have this experience and document this moment.
Here’s a few of my tips for my senior guys!
-Bring some casual and some dressy outfits, with one that’s “mom-approved”!
-Solid colors or subtle prints are most flattering
-Iron and steam!
I always suggest bringing at least one dressier outfit, along with more casual ones that you are more comfortable in. I feel like no matter the session is, it is always important to incorporate your passions, hobbies, pets or anything that has a significant impact/meaning to you.
